United Rentals

I worked on the United Rentals project for almost 3 years now. It will be 3 years as of January 2019. We have built a version of the website in Drupal 7 and the current version in Drupal 8 (which launched summer of 2017). We continue to advance and improve UnitedRentals.com and push the limits of the available technology with custom APIs, a Vue.js front-end, OOP PHP, and unit-tested JS and PHP.

Our project includes many automated tests, linting, automated virtual environments, automated build processes, and automated deploy processes. My own work has touched nearly every part of the website, especially on the backend.

I am also the mastermind behind much of the automation. Specifically the build and deploy processes. As well as the creator of many of the APIs and the overall API architecture. We are currently working on a new API architecture (v2) that will allow for better unit testing, data mocking, data source combining, and caching.
