Valspar (Sherwin Williams)
In early 2020, right before the beginning of the pandemic, I started work on Valspar.com. At the end of February, I was flown out to Cleveland to meet with the client, Sherwin Williams, at their offices. This was a highly productive trip. More memorable because during the return flight almost a week later, the pandemic quickly led to almost no one being at the airports flying anymore. It was a ghost town.
This work was on Valspar.com and our work was to initially rebuild it in WordPress. Though eventually, they planned on migrating it to AEM. This WordPress work was a quick stopgap so that they could meet retailers’ needs for a more detailed and supportive website.
My work on this was not only the initial setup, but the creation of multiple custom post types, specifically for products and colors. I also worked on creating the import process for both products and colors. My work included creating extensive project documentation.
